slim battery and LCD for t40

how do u adjust the contrast for t41's, i can't see jack sitting in the sun.... also, the slim battery.... works pretty much the same way as standard battery? is there anything i need to know about it... any place to buy it for cheap? how do u clean u're LCD, it looks perfect indoors, but outside, i can see alot of oil stains and smudges... thanx in advance

Contrast - right click desktop -> properties -> advanced settings -> color tab
Brightness - Fn + Home or End
Slim Battery - I assume this is the ultrabay one, just put it in, should autodetect it. Unlike the main battery you can remove this one and still have the laptop run (assuming the main battery is in as well)
LCD Cleaning - I just use a wet cloth (cotton) that I know won't leave scratches...the same sort of thing I'd use one eyeglasses or camera lenses
