Wasn't a fan of their music but it's always shitty to see someone relatively young die.

I enjoyed half of their music. It wasn't so much screaming or not screaming, it was just whether the overall tune felt right.

There's been at least a handful of songs I've enjoyed on each of their more recent records.

Definitely a bummer.


Related to Slipknot: I am looking forward to Stone Sour's next album. While both Taylor and Root are in Stone Sour, Paul Gray was not.

I think we should wait for confirmation before we pass that idea around. Some musicians I'd put that as a strong possibility, but I've never really seen mention of their being any drug issues amongst the Slipknot/Stone Sour crew. Then again, there could be zero issues, and then there is a first.

But regardless of drug use, people do drop dead out of the blue.

It's always possible drugs were involved, but he seems to at least made an attempt to appear clean, considering the only thing the media has ever reported was a 2003 DUI and Possession (coke and weed).

That reminds me of when Dave Williams of Drowning Pool died. I remember a lot of people on radio stations kept trying to blame drugs, but it turned out he had an undiagnosed heart condition.

People generally don't die of natural causes at age 38.
