Where are my tray prices!!
I need to scheme.
Yeh, me too. Although if and when the time comes, I still really like the i7 920 value proposition. I can't ever justify spending north of $1K on a CPU, I'm not a high-roller.
more to come later... lemme break her in slowly..
Wuss, crank the bclk or gtfo!

Shens...
16 degrees Celsius = 60.8 degrees Fahrenheit
Either it's cold in your house or i call BS because i know you aren't running active cooling yet.
Im not going to get great scores from the low bclk.
I would need to play with bclk which would also require me to play with ram timings, and then voltages, and then motherboard voltages...
So for now all u guys get is a lazy overclock.... (multi only)
People the purpose of the sensor is NOT to measure temperature like a rectal thermometer! (sorry for the anal reference) This output is used for monitoring thermal transfer performance as well as a fail safe in case environmental issues or cooling system failure or reduction of performance (fan goes out etc.) comes into play while the system is running.
As long as it's stable and you don't see sparks flying out of the socket you'll be fine.
sorry for bump, but I got mine today! I will post benches/pics later if allowed. So far it is a very nice, cool proc!
