This!
Someday I want a big audi!

I guess I'll just sputter along with my 16 valve pushrod engine... (of fury)
3 intake 2 exhaust.
Intake area is always greater than exhaust on any head. Even with same # of valves the intake valves are bigger.
Heres why:
Pulling air into the cylinder relies on vacuum, or more precisely 14.7 psi of atmospheric pressure when the piston is traveling down.
The piston travelling upward is capable of creating over 150 psi depending on compression ratio. Over a factor of 10 more than intake and that's the minimum with a low compression engine around 8:1.
It's harder to get gases into the cylinder than out and for that reason alone valve surface area is always biased towards intake regardless of number of valves. Even if the 3 intake valves are slightly smaller than 2 larger exhaust valves, it still adds up to geometrically greater flow area on the intake side.
Exhaust also helps in part to expel itself in that it's still energetic and expanding at greater than atmospheric pressure when the exhaust valves open to atmosphere, thus exhaust gas would start flowing out on it's own even if the piston was stuck at BDC and wasn't moving at all. Intake isn't going to do that without a blower or turbo :awe:
How much did you pay?

450HP V10, nice...20MPG on the highway
you are buying an Audi. Fuel cost should be the least of your concerns
If someone buys a high power engine and then frets over mileage, they really need to rethink their priorities.
I know I get between 10 and 20 mpg (city vs highway), but I don't stress over it. I knew that going in to it.
Right?
Gas prices? LOL
It's all about $1000 in tires every 6-12 months
Larry, tell Vincent what you'll need.OMG repairs.
But seriously, that is the car from Ronin I think
Larry, tell Vincent what you'll need.
Something very fast. Audi S8 . Something that can shove.

I already have plans for an off-road toy/road trip/mileage vehicle. I have a 1.6l VW TD in the garage waiting for a rust free tintop Suzuki samurai. Should be low 40mpg with 31s and the right gears/transfer/xfer case.
bring a trailerr down here to az, i know one in tempe that is being stored for a guy in prison... ()
(of course im kidding, that would be stealing. hes just not that nice of a person.)
Hmm what was that other movie...
"A silver Impala, the most popular car in California. Nobody is going to be looking at you tonight"
beautiful car, I am jealous. That is a D2 right? I think I would be happy with a plain vanilla D2 A8. They are supposed to be great cars and very reliable. How much was the timing chain job? There is an amount on the receipt? You don't wanna share with us how much the car was?
I don't mind 16 pushrods, my other car is a 1995 9C1 Caprice. I wouldn't mind a LSx GTO or G8 in the future.
Makes sense.
$8k. Took a few months of looking, but I think I found a good deal. I went to Chicago to check out 2 others, but they had too many issues, no receipts. One of the sellers was a typical used car salesman, I found a bunch of issues and he made a bunch of excuses as I pointed them out.
I did miss out on a immaculate one for $10k a few weeks earlier. One owner, all dealer service with receipts still under CPO, well I think it would be up now as I think it is 10yr or 100k.
Will do, so far 21mpg highway, and 18.6 mixed driving.
I did replace the intake linkages with billet pieces for $80 (instead of plastic dealer replacement kits for $400 each x2)
