I don't mind too bad. I am waiting for both Socket 939 and PCI Express to start showing up at the same time on mobos anyway. I want a shuttle version.

Not surprised, it was mentioned months ago that socket 939 wouldn't be widely available @ launch.

Which is why I went with good ol 754. PCI Express and duel channel? Bah I dont need it. Besides, A64 is becoming more popular with motherboard makers. 754 will get a little more help.

Since the slowest s939 cpu is going to be the 3500+ it will take a while for that to become "mainstream".

Turns out I made a good choice going with socket 754 for now. If this revised timeline is accurate, I will be ready for an upgrade right about the time that 939 gets some good wind in its sails.
