Socket A HS/F problems / suggestions?

Here is the problem. I bought a uATX mobo and case. It was shipped with a CPU and HSF attached. Somethime durring shipment, the HSF broke off and took the two center clips on the socket with it. So I need to find a HSF that uses all 3 pins on both sides of the socket, or can mount using the MB holes.

But wait, theres more. Since its a uATX case, the CDROM is mounted directly above the CPU. So, the HSF needs to be less than 2.75" in total height to clear the CDROM and allow for adequate air intake.

So here is what I need from you. I have searched high and low, and cant seem to find a HS that meets the qualifactions.

It needs to be: Socket A, less the 2.75" in height, and use either the outer pins on the socket or mount using the motherboard mounting holes.

I'd contact the vendor about returning it, myself, let them fight with the shipper.

If that's not what you want to do, check out the GC21 at Nexfan or some of the Taisols at KDComputers. Ive used both, and the taisols are definitely better, but the gc21 worked OK on an Athlon 1200 for one of my really cheap friends who had the same problem.....

An Idea that cost in the beggining but saves time later.
Buy a HSF that uses the 6 point clip and use the clip on the OEM HSF, Later When you upgrade you already have a good HSF.

Check out this. Directron. That fan is .01" higher than what you want. And 3 clips. I'm not sure how good it is, you might wanna broswe the socket A cooler section on directron to get some more.

I think the last one is the height, so I guess I misread it. But yeah, return it for a new one, getting a new heatsink in those requirements are going to be a pain, but directron probably has one.

Thermalright specs show that the SK6+ is only 33mm high (without fan).
