Software to lock a HDD

Does anything exist that would let me lock down a (non-booted) HDD and write a key to a usb thumbdrive?

Basically my little brother keeps getting into my media drive and messing everything up. I don't mind him using it as I dont' have anything to hide I would just like to be there when he does it. I know that I can just assign him a user account in XP but it seems more fun to have to insert a key into the usb port to access the drive or even certain folders.

you can get a case with an actual key that will only turn on the comp when used...or yeah theres http://www.controlkey.com/ that makes teenagers feel like 3 yr olds

At work, we use a Time Tracer card made by Golden Soft (fits in the pci slot). Basically you can set it up so that any writes to the HD are never actually written. So every reboot you'll have the drive in the same condition. You can even set rules for specific partitions.
