some ASUS M3A78 questions

i've been looking at the phenom 940 and wanted to get it during summer....
my biggest question would probably be is this the best OC board for C$180 for the 940?
..this mobo doesn't say anything about supporting 800mhz ram? and i was wondering if i could just
throw everything i have now with this board without problems or having to upgrade anything..
and im also wondering if it will work out of the box without a BIOS update....and finally i would like to know if this would provide a nice little boost to how everything talks to each other (opening files,internet,videos,higher minimum frames in games)

I have the Asus M3A78-T and I really dont like it. It is very picky about RAM, make sure you read the Qualified Vendors List on the website first. I could only use 2 sticks of my geil ultra in AM2 mode (athlon x2) and either 1 or 4 sticks in AM2+ mode (phenom 2), which is wierd. Also my board came with an older bios version that needed updating to support the phenom 2, although it is very easy to update (no floppy needed, theres a windows program and an option in the bios that just reads the rom file off a usb stick). I am also in the process of returning my motherboard because the graphics dies frequently. You might have better luck of course, but I wouldnt presonally reccomend it. If you want out of the box compatability without a bios update get one of the m4a78 series, if you dont mind updating the bios (and you have a spare athlon x2), get the m3a79-t deluxe, its a bit more expensive but a lot less buggy and annoying and should overclock extremely well.

Thats a pretty terrible review consider theyre using a different processor with that motherboard to all the others theyre testing against.
