Sounds good, but it needs more cowbell. If you make it big, you're gonna want that cowbell!

Just wish you would start doing video covers so we could see what you're playing

PS - could you do some SRV Double Trouble Bass covers - and with video would really help

Glad you enjoy it. Best I can do is a picture I took of me and my daughter a year ago playing my bass (Fender American jazz deluxe)

Would love to do video but I'm too much of a perfectionist to get it all in one take, and don't have the equipment to record decent video anyway. The process for making these covers takes hours over multiple days. Having kids does that. People ask me for tabs and everything else but to be honest I play by ear. Once I learned the majority of progressions, I figure most songs out pretty quick. The fun songs are ones with unique harmonies/dissonance.

As for SRV, I could maybe do the bass lines but doubt I can play any of his songs (all parts) on bass and make it sound good, let alone play half of what he plays in general. If you are looking for how to play certain lines, I'm sure I could help a little through discussion. Hope that helps.

Just listened too a few so far but they are great to jam over - none of that vocal BS to get in the way lol - appreciate the time you take.

As far as video - come on now - just a simple 720P cam view of the bass
(Feeding kids can be put off for a few days I'm almost sure)

Nice pic - definite budding Tal Wilkenfeld

Thanks for the compliments. Like I said for video, I'm too critical on myself and will record "corrections" on my initial playing of the bass line to make it sound better when I'm probably the only one who'd notice. Doing that doesn't work well for video though.

If you want to use them for jams or whatever, feel free. Some people have sung over them, or used them in student films which I get a kick out of. If you upload it to YouTube I just ask you link and refer to the song/my channel on it.

I got a sweet PJ bass and had a custom pickguard made for it, also replaced the knobs with J bass knobs instead of the P bass metal ones. It plays great!

That's awesome! I really dig the overall look of it. New gear is always good.

I'm in the market for a new effects pedal for mine. My Zoom 2.1u, which I love, is falling apart.

Thanks! Yeah I play mostly synth/keys and guitar but I really wanted a decent bass for recording that was solid but not too crazy. That fit the bill perfectly.
