Sony CPD-G400, should I splurge???

This weekend I can get the Sony CPD-G400 FD Trinitron from Dell for $400 with free shipping and no tax, should I go for it? The way I've been hearing things, it slightly out-classes the other 19" flat CRT's...

I have a G400 I bought last August... still kicking well and everything.

There is a newer model of these monitors out, you might wanna check out the G420's.

Yeah Dell has the 420s, but I don't think the improvements warrant the higher price...

I have a G400, also. I LOVE IT!!!! You can't go wrong.

I havent really paid attention to the difference between the 400 and 420... maybe except for the new casing.

But I'm very happy with my G400... serves me really well and it's the biggest envy of all my roomates .

doh! Dell had it yesterday for $359 with free shipping and no tax.. you coulve pricematched to staples and slapped a $40 off coupon and got it for $319 total

Don't know of any cheaper prices, but I bought one earlier this year and it's the _best_ monitor I have ever used - hands down (and I'm a picky b*astard.

sorry, after my $800 Sony 19" 400PS top of the line pro monitor died in just 2 years I don't think I will be rewarding Sony with any more of my business.
