Funny that you haven't said Trump should not be able to leave the WH. I assume you approve of grounding his plane and limo? The shutdown didn't stop Trump nor the Rep CODEL, you know. Let's shut down the WH and Congress, let prisoners free (can't feed them) and on and on.

Come to think of it stop funding the military, everything. No Federal anything. People can walk right into the WH and meet with Trump.

This breach of security protocol by the Russian asset is disturbing enough, just for the petulant ignorance involved. CODEL trips have always been kept out of politics though, they check that party pin on the tarmac, pretty much always have from what I hear. Now even one of the purest forms of bipartisan service has become a play thing in the baby's toy box.

I'd actually like to see them still go, maybe hitch a ride with the Canadians. Not sure DSS would allow commercial, not the commercial most of us take anyway. Watch Pelosi roll with it and stay working while the man baby continues to throw tantrums. If not, that's a lot of flight time she doesn't have to endure, time she can devote to helping the people, families and businesses Trump has taken hostage for his wall fantasy.

anyway, yes--I don't think anyone in Congress should be paid during this time. I think their assets should be frozen, in fact. I think all salary should be iced for one year, and all medical and retirement benefits likewise iced, for a year, every time the government is shut down for 1 second. Every time. Why are you so angry at congress? I though it was their job to decide on funding and they did so, even the senate agreed. Thats hundreds of people that already negotiated things and in the end one person is holding everything up. That trump is throwing a fit over wall money now, 2 years after his party had control of everything and didnt bother to get it done, seems extra odd. Honestly besides trump being a child I think if you want to blame anyone else here its the senate that could easily make this veto proof if they wanted to.
