Sound Conflict!! HELP PLEASE!

Hey there,

I disable my onboard sound. And I have installed a Sound Blaster Audigy MP3+. I downloaded the drivers from their site because I thought I had lost the installation disc. Well, I found the installation disc. In the device manager it shows the following things for sound, video and game controllers...

1 Audio Codecs
2 Creative Game Port
3 Creative SB Audigy (showed up after I installed the disc)
4 Legacy Audio Drivers
5 Legacy Video Capture Devices
6 Media Control Devices
7 Video Codecs

Every time I was installing the disc, after it was finished it would say "Sound Card not installed properly". The six other devices showed up before I even installed the disc. I ended up reinstalling a million times trying to disable some of those devices and other stuff like that. I finally got it to where the Creative SB Audigy now shows up, but a message came up saying that "No Creative Remote Control Device", or something like that, "can be found".

How can I just install this and make it work!? What devices above do I have to uninstall or disable to make this work? XP finds those six devices (all the above except the Audigy) every time I reboot, so I don't know what the conflict is.

Try to put the card in another PCI slot,
I had a modem that wouldn't install or work and for some reason changing the slot made it work.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm wondering if there is any other way to fix the problem without moving around hardware???

Or does anyone know what the "Creative Remote Port" is or whatever its called???
