Sound Controls Disappeared

I'm running Windows XP on the computer I have listed below. Now, this weird problem happened where I found I could no longer adjust the sound through my keyboard. I checked my Tray, and lo and behold, there was no volume adjustment icon like there always was. Then, I went to Sound Devices controls Panel and found that the entire changing volume option was grayed out! :Q

I've tried a system restore, it didn't work, and am now reinstalling drivers. Do you guys know how to fix this?

This could have been done by your Creative X-Fi installation. IOW, it has taken over that function, and you need to use the Creative controls. Do those work?

Had the same problem. Had to use Windows disk to reinstall Sierra Utillities.
