Speaker Powerbose

So I have a pair of $150 Bose 2.0 speakers, but I got my AC adapter stolen. The input for the adapter says it accepts 12V AC at 1.2 amps, but I cant find a replacement online or any brick and mortar store. The closest I have found is 12V AC at 1.5 amps, will that destroy the speakers or will they just take what they need? Should I try it, or do you guys know where I could find this exact adapter, or a replacement? Thanks.

Hmmm...I would assume that it would draw what is need, but I could be completely wrong. Shouldn't the the amps depend on the total resistance of the speakers? (Voltage = Current x Resistance)

Oh, and I do recall my speaker AC adapter wires having a tag saying "ONLY TO BE USED FOR ..." So that means you might have some sort of a problem.
Another Oh, you could also search for 1200mA since some websites use mA as a product categorizer.

I wonder how much bose is going to charge you for there power adapter. I'd suggest either buying one from them or looking on the internet for a correct power adapter. I WOULD NOT recommend using a power adapter that has different specs.

I understand that bose sucks and blah blah blah . . .but 150$ is 150$ so Im trying to figure this out. anyways thanks for your input, Im probably going to just ask to buy an official one from bose because apparently there are no such AC to AC adapters in the world.

Yes, Bose keeps an inventory of replacement parts available to it's customers. While they may be overpriced, at least you get decent service as the exchange.

When it comes to ordering replacement parts, they are very reasonably priced.

1.5A is perfectly safe, gives you a little more headroom. Speakers will only draw what they need.

1.5 Amps will be fine..... but as W00t says Bose really sucks.....

should have had better Speakers for that much dollars that you have spent ....
