There was a good post in another thread that listed all of the characters that are licensed out to other companies.

I heard that Marvel had to change the name of the people who gave Loki his army in the Avengers because they licensed the name to another company... Fox I think.

I was pretty happy with the first two.

The third one made me cry. They fell into the "jam characters in to sell toys" trap.

It was only 8 years between Batman & Robin and Batman Begins and no one's bitching about that. These are both Spiderman movies but from the previews it seems that they're going to be from different comic book universes and seem pretty different in terms of cinematography.

I'm pretty excited for this summer's list of hero movies and I think this one will be a fun, entertaining movie to watch.

saw the trailer for this movie when i saw the avengers.

looked like the entire movie is filmed in a blue screen room with mediocore CGI effects.

was not impressed in general.

The only things I found interesting:

actually SHOT in 3d, not post production', using RED cameras.

The film was the first Hollywood production to be filmed with the Red Digital Cinema Camera Company's RED Epic camera, and is being shot in 3-D at 5K resolution

According to actor and stuntman Richard Norton, the film was "a $220 million budget movie"

Sorry, what? Batman and Robin in a movie? Nope, can't say I recall that, or the idea of Joel Schumacher directing a Batman movie. Nope, you must be mistaken

That had B&R with JS directing as well. It was almost as bad as the Movie That Must Not Be Named.

Extremely disappointing. It was just an extended trailer from what they already had. I was expecting some actual footage like TDKR did.

I feel bad for Robin.

I like the more recent comic iterations of Robin (and Nightwing) but he really hasn't been done justice in the movies (or tv show)

Ugh on the faker-than-fake CG.
Glad they went back to him using his intelligence for something and actually making the web cartridges instead of stupidly growing them on his wrists somehow. In the Sam Rami series, his intelligence served no purpose except to make him a nerd/outcast.
I am sad that the last movie series never got to ol' Lizard, with all the foreshadowing and casting and setup they did for it.

The "Robin's Reckoning" two-parter is the best episode of "Batman:TAS."

You say that as if he was saying that it's been 10 years since the last Spiderman movie. He's saying that the last movie series started up 10 years ago. It hasn't been 5 years yet since Spiderman 3.

Now, HULK got rebooted QUICK. It wasn't even 5 years between the FIRST (and only) one and the "Incredible" reboot!

Hint: We don't care about Peter Parker's parents and we never did. They're just dead. Peter Parker grew up with his aunt and uncle. There was not supposed to be a "mystery" about his parents. There's plenty to make Spiderman interesting without adding this groan-inducing plot.

The new Spidey storyline puts a bunch of X-Files conspiracy crap in showing that his parents worked on secret scientific studies that may have lead up to Peter's accident that gave him his powers.

Spider-man 3 was so bad that it retroactively ruined the first 2 and it will proactively ruin this one.

It looks good [lots of action] and you could see a hint of "oh cool 3d" effects - but I too wonder why another Spiderman movie other than to try and reap in the latest "comic book to movie" profit machine?
