SpyMac beats Google to 1GB email

The SpyMac email service is making 1GB of email storage available to all account holders from 5 April.
The announcement comes just days after Google heralded its 1GB Gmail service, but that has yet to get off the ground.
SpyMac is open to users on any platform and offers both webmail and POP3 access, with IMAP under development.
'Spymac agrees with the staff at Google that a 1 GB email account makes sense,' it said in a statement. Nonetheless, it could not risk a dig at the privacy suspicions surrounding GMail: 'Spymac Mail does not include keyword scanning for search and has no advertising.'
