SQL 2000 Hanging on install

I am trying to install SQL 2000 on a fresh copy of windows 2000 server. It always hangs when starting service/configuring.

And It comes back and says error, and aborting install.

Any ideas? I've never had this happen, it always installs smoothly

Just going over the basics here. Have you cancelled all other running services and apps before starting? This includes virus scanner, instant messenger, iis, indexing server, etc? Have you tried it directly after a reboot?
