I'm pretty sure this is the same obstacle course they used in a show on Discovery channel. If I recall correctly, it took two or three weeks for them to figure out every piece. The surrounding squirrels would watch, and when a new 'piece of the puzzle' was figured out, then they all then knew how to do it.
