Somebody in staples probably browsing the net 24hrs looking for leaked coupons such as these

they do, i posted a deal for a maxtor 60gb couple of weeks ago that had 2 rebates. one was advertised on staples.com and the other was a maxtor mfr rebate. day after i posted, staples pulled the advertisement for the rebate and the rebate form from their site.

the titles reminds me of the commercial on the TV about M&M chocolate and Santa Claus ("he does exist!", "they do exist!")

IMO, not just staples, All the big retailers (Walmart, BB, CC, ...) are paying somebody to monitor activities regarding their business on forums like FW and AT

Wow, this thead sure got a lot of attention. Like someone said, probably Staples ordered the coupon code off 'chubby'. In the original thread, a lot of people got this to work so it was indeed alive for a bit. Sounds like Staples is starting to catch on! I can't believe that retard at 'chubby' told the CSR where he got the code though.

not a matter of finding the coupon code, its dead cuz the csrs wont except it as a valid offer code.

It was probably a newbie or a lurker that told the csr about it. FW's been overrun with them since the BF fiasco. Most seem to be dumb as rocks

what you are referring to is a shady copy of a coupon which is illegal anyway. Why would you want to perpetuate it, even if it worked with some stores? It's still wrong.

Dead as a Door Nail

Dead as a door nail is to be dead with no chance of recovery. Nails used to be costly hand tooled. For example, an aged cabin or barn that was torn down would have the nails salvaged so they can be reused in later construction.
