yah free stuff is lame-o...lol ..the stick of sku 446818 for free ..very bad...especially bad free 50 pk of CDRs..can't use them at all....can't use a $10 printer neither or a 20GB harddrive for data/mp3/divx storage for $50 less if you bring your $20 off $100 emailed coupon and get a pack of $2 or $3 pens/paperclips/magazine etc. ..no Stay Away From Staples thank you ..oh yeah don't even think about the 17" Envision I'm looking at for $160 less my emailed from Staples.com $30 off $150 tax that $130 for a new total of about $138 and leave with my $100 mailinrebate form to make this monitor brandnew for less than $40( spend more than that at the fuggin' OliveGarden and won't nearly enjoy it as long neither..lol ) yeah...lame sale at Staples BM STAY AWAY..( is this thread crappin'?? ) ...p.s. yes a repost but thanks

Haha, please, stay away then. I am hitting Staples first, cdr's, printer, scanner, monitor, photo paper and hard drive. Then I will be going to BB, and getting price matches.

I think what he meant is that in many ways, Staples really doesn't compare to the other stores' holiday sales very well. Especially that 20GB hard drive you were talking about ScrapSilicon
....if you think that's a good deal you're nuts! Best Buy has a 60GB drive, same speed, for the same price! Not to mention that you STILL have to wait for rebates, even at that crappy price! So do yourself a favor and don't buy that thing. Otherwise, yeah, the deals on the free stuff are (obviously) good...but good luck getting any of it. Think about it...anything that's FREE, dumb people rush out and get it just because of that, even if they don't need it. You'll have a line of cheap welfare b@stards (can I say that here?!) carrying sticks of free RAM, even if they don't have a computer! They'll put it away and let it collect dust somewhere, until the value of it actually gets pretty darn close to the price they paid! Just my 2 cents. Go to Best Buy and pick up that hard drive if you want something good.

Yea but Staples rebates are almost a gurantee, best buy rebates, better use tracking on your letter, or you might never see that rebate.

Most of the staples deals dont compare, but the 17inch envision monitor for $30 after MIR is much better than $60 after MIR at BB

but there will probably only be 20 60gb drives at BB and 2 thousand people in the store. to get the drive at BB you probably need to stand in line for 2 hours in the morning. the staples deals aren't as hot but it will be easy to pick them up because hardly anyone goes to staples. you can probably walk into staples an hour after they've opened and still get the free stuff.

No big deal with the Tracfone. It only costs $8.99 a month for the minimum service. ALL their rebates take quite awhile.

Why would you buy the phone if you aren't going to use it? (I guess maybe you are thinking about a gift?)

From time-to-time Amazon.com offers tracfone time at 50% off $100 (or they used to).

The only bad thing about the monitor is that it is not the flat screen, it is the curved screen. Which makes it not as hot as if the 780 envision monitor were on sale again.

Good question... I would guess the MIR is good for the "day" not the designated 3 hours... but if you don't get the early bird at staples for $49.94 then you will be paying $59.94 (aft. MIR) for a 20G 5400rpm drive....this isn't that hot of a deal ...IMO

Why not go to OD ... they have a Maxtor 30G 7200rpm drive for 119.99 - 30 MIR - 20 Instant = $69.99. This is waay better deal (you get 10 more gigs and 7200 pm vs. 5400 rpm for $10 more)

BTW the OD deal is good for 3 days 'til Fri- Sun
