Fine with me....I never liked Staples anyway. Oh you may get a deal here or there, but the place just stank. Period.

I've been shopping Office Depot/Max for years, and never had any troubles....the people are helpful, and more than willing to go that extra step to help.

I jumped on that Memorex CD-RW deal...first time I tried to PM at OfficeDepot. I asked the gent in the Technology section if he could PM to CompUSA (had the printout), he said, "Sure thing!". Walked the drive to the counter, told me to have a nice day. I showed the cashier (the Customer Service Manager was standing there) the $20 off $50 discount, the CSM told her what code to ring up, and everything was fine.

The cashier 'surprised' me by telling me there was a rebate on the drive, and made sure I knew exactly how to fill out the form, what was needed, and where to send it (the info was on the rebate receipt).

That's a normal day at Office Depot. We have 4 here in Louisville (I HAVE THE CITY TO MYSELF!! MUWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!), and it's the same way all around.

So Staples, in the immortal words of Duke Nukem, can, "BLOW IT OUT YOUR ASS"

Anyone can make the assumption that a store sucks based off one experience, sorry you feel that way (I can understand what you mean though - I think Circuit City sucks based off their horrible CS)

I have yet to hear about this off Staples@Work or otherwise, I'll check later this week about it. I think it's a good thing because half of these "stores" online that we're PMing probably are fake/fradulent anyway.

Yes, they determine how much you pay, their policies determine how much you pay. If you bring in webpages and wait to get someone who won't include shipping during the pricematch and also won't notice that your item is OEM, then it is considered stealing. Comparing it to shoplifting is not very idiotic IMO.

In your situation, they aren't including shipping. If you were honest, you would point it out.

Huh?? Makes no sense at all.

Some people take advantage of other people's mistakes. Hence, 1Cheap2Crazy's example of people calling in until they can get a "nice" CSR, or trying a different B&M store. There are those who follow the policy, and there are those who do not, and there are those who do not know what the policy is.
