Yeah, that'll teach them!...I'm probs going to just stop pirating this show altogether...

Yeah, that'll teach them!
Fine, but what you're saying is like if the grocery store doesn't improve the quality of its food, you're going to stop shoplifting there. I'm sure it will hurt their feelings tremendously.I mean, the show is written like it was interfered with by the idiots who thought CBS could carry a streaming service with its content, alone...
That came across my mind while watching Episode 3, made we wonder why? Considering this is a prequel of everything in Star Trek IIRC, tech in not present in ST-TOS shouldn't be possible in ST-D.
Of course you'll need a Tardigrade to navigate. Maybe it's extinct in the future. So without it, the spores in which the Tardigrade feeds on is useless.

So many problems, so little time. STD is definitely the Transformers of the Trek universe. Also, the entire plot device of having a mining colony responsible for 40% of your dilithium be so lightly defended that a small group of birds of prey can win orbit superiority was IDIOTIC! A planet of that strategic importance would have had a major starbase in orbit with an entire fleet of the best federation ships defending it, plus major point defenses. Episode 4 lost me. I'm probs going to just stop pirating this show altogether. I actively hope it fails and takes CBS's stupid streaming service with it.
Hmm, a little quick with the insulting verbiage, there. Sorry if you were offended by my take on your post, but I'll have to stand by my impression that it seems funny that you are mentioning stopping pirating the show as something significant, and now you're complaining about the time wasted pirating the show. Clearly you take your pirating seriously, but I am still kind of chuckling about it. Anyway, no real harm meant. I agree with some of your criticisms of the show.1. No, you're terrible at analogies
2. I never said my actions would 'hurt their feelings.' I was just saying I wasn't going to waste my time not paying for the show. I'd be pretty pissed if I actually paid for this idiotic piece of tripe.

This, to me, is reminiscent of the ship Riker came from in TNG, which could cloak (phase shifting), but for reasons of piece (or something like that) Starfleet vowed never to use it. Since we are before all that, perhaps they are going to play the same game with Discovery.

What was even more stupid was that the nearest ships were over 80 hours away. To have it lightly defended was moronic. To not have any ships in range for days in case of attack means it was basically undefended. Also, the entire plot device of having a mining colony responsible for 40% of your dilithium be so lightly defended that a small group of birds of prey can win orbit superiority was IDIOTIC! The klingons don't even need the ship with the cloak. How the hell is it they haven't bashed the Feds into the ground by this point?
So, how are the viewership numbers for this show?
Honestly, I hope that they're horrible. The networks need to learn that you can't force consumers to sign up for an streaming service that only has one decent show on it.
What is funny is, CBS says over 200% subscribed to their portal, but, pretty much all of those are the free trials.http://deadline.com/2017/09/star-trek-discovery-cbs-all-access-record-sign-ups-1202176110/
"No specific numbers were reported." lol
Toward the beginning, they very clearly said Starfleet is making it a priority to find the beasts, yet, they just let the one they had go?
Also, just how did he get hooked up to the nipple interface anyway?
Don't forget about those escape ships. Clearly, they knew how to fly them, and work the shields and everything.
Why didn't the big E fire on the other ships anyway?
So many plot holes....
They need to stop with the Klingon scenes, its just embarrassing. The verbal language, the way they look, and maybe worst of all the simplicity of the subtitles just make me cringe. I'm tempted to skip past those scenes every time.
Getting rid of Landry, no matter how stupid it was, is a step in the right direction though! Terrible actress and her characters writing just made it worse.
