Starbuck coffee question

When I go to the supermarket I see a bunch of varieties of Starbucks coffee like House Blend, Colombian, etc. I just want the one that they use in all their drinks like iced coffee and Frappucinos. I want my homemade frappucinos to taste like the real thing. So which one is it? House blend?

better get an espresso machine, and their beans are always burned. blech. find a good local roaster and get good beans. also, get a burr grinder. its not a huge difference, but I do find myself having to use less beans than the old blender type one to get a good strong cup in my aeropress or the french press. I dont have a huge preference if its drip, aero, french whatever. i just dont have space for a drip machine on the counter.

i would just ask then which roast they use.

Fraps taste good because of that sugar/cream/flavor concoction. The coffee itself is crap.

Another vote for espresso. Also, the blend they are using on that day is displayed somewhere in the store. On the main board, on the containers that are brewing the coffee, or where the coffee beans are stored, or the counter where you order and pay, if its not there on any of those places you can always ask, what blend is this? are the beans of these available on the display? what is the name of the equivalent or closest blend that I can buy?

Sipping on blond roast as we speak... Monday morning cannot taste any better... its heaven...

It doesn't matter after you add all the stuff that makes a frap a frap, you're not gonna be able to tell the difference.

Thanks. I'm not that into coffee that I'm gonna get into grinding beans or using an expresso machine. I just brew the coffee at double/triple strength.

They don't even use espresso to make the fraps. They use some sorta insta coffee mix. I always used to have a shot or two added to my frap and it confused the bajeebus out of the baristas.

if you want a shot of expresso in your drink you can just ask them to make your drink dirty.

I usually get dirty chais if I go to sbux for some reason.

You should try making Vietnamese iced coffe. It's called ca phe da. Most people get it with condensed milk, which is called ca phe sua da.

You need a good coffee machine. That is all. If you have a good machine and a high quality bean your set to go and might even taste better than Starbucks. I have a $450 Coffee Machine. ^^
