I think solution is best suited for people away from urban areas where the 80/20 rule dictates who gets the high-bandwidth technology vs. nothing or little at all.
Well i get to test this out shortly
The speeds a man in the UP of Michigan was getting during a heavy snow storm earlier this week
Looks like the rollout for my area is late 2021.
I went to the starlink website and typed in my neighbor's address.how did you discover this?
It is amusing they are complaining that their new competitor will bring a lousy service. Why wouldn't they let them bleed money and fail? Why should they save Starlink investments? These are the same cronies that give support to Trumpism.
Mine finally arrived today, will be testing shortly
The phased array makes this a non-issue, it's already been successfully tested by the airforce in-flight, and musk has said it should be capable of working on high-speed rail too.Since they just applied for mobile use, I wonder how well it will perform in that arrangement since most of the time the antenna will not be optimal.
and another 2019 testIn December, the Air Force tested Starlink, and the exercise was a success, with SpaceX Starlink satellites used to link to a Lockheed Martin (LMT) AC-130 gunship aircraft.
So far, SpaceX has demonstrated data throughput of 610 megabits per second in flight to the cockpit of a U.S. military C-12 twin-engine turboprop aircraft.
RIP ☹️Heh...I clicked on the i vite link they sent me...expired last November.
oops...
How open of an area do you need for the antenna? I'm surrounded by trees, though i used to have a Direct TV dish 20+ tears ago.Setup took all of 15 minutes, it's just on my lawn now but getting speeds of around 80mb down and 15 up, latency is around 55ms
I think it's still searching for the best angle for the satellites
