I’ll just arrogantly speak for the forum and say this analogy makes no fucking sense.
Actually it makes perfect sense

Macintosh 1984 classic

Then Apple fighting and starts destroying itself (post Steve Jobs Era) focusing on Newton

Apple spins off Newton ( divorce )

Life is better afterwards.

And I do not want to share a country with authoritarian trumpanzees who worship dictators. We're a totally different species at this point.. we don't wanna meet, we don't wanna be friends, and we definitely don't wanna mate and reproduce with each other!

I'm not the one with delusions of breaking the country apart. You're the one that would rather give up and condemn millions of people to some sort of conservative hellscape and create 2 countries irreparably diminished.

As for the ACA, for Medicaid expansion, a lot of states have since opted-in. There are still some hold outs, but that gets chipped away with time. And for anyone above the Medicaid cutoffs, people don't need to rely on their states opting in.

And that's just a saying. If you've been paying attention, things have gotten measurably better over time. Are they perfect? No. Is there still work to be done? Absolutely.
Aren’t the people living in those states condemning themselves by counting to vote for the same people who created this map?

The people with power don't care. They've made it so they can stay in power thanks to decades of propaganda and refined crack and pack tactics for creating districts. Then throw the voter ID laws, limited mail-in voting options, and long polling lines to further reduce some groups' voting power.

Without calling each other's viewpoints silly.. maybe we should face facts that people are basically self-segregating into blue and red states.

Swing states are becoming very rare.

Since people are basically moving on their own to their preferred destination.. we're not abandoning anyone with a national divorce.

They feel the student being black is distracting
It's a culture war that the left and right creates.

The left is the one acting like Sheryl Stoopes and Gilbert Arenas, complaining that white people are taking basketball's attention.....

Caitlin Clark and Luka Doncic can play, that's just the facts.

The right reacts....

People aren't self-segregating though. In fact, many blue states are driving out their populations thanks to NIMBY policies that make housing extremely expensive.

And yes, you are abandoning people with your national divorce idea. Not everyone has the capital to move, nor the employment prospects, nor the ability to just move away from their families and social circles [or name any other number of reasons that could exist].

You just want to be a quitter, convinced that persuasion and political change is not possible, despite all evidence to the contrary. Stop subscribing to doomerism.

People are racially segregated, and politically segregated.

Like Birmingham, Alabama, and their all-white suburb, Mountain Brook.

If cigarettes are bad for your health.. doctors urge them to quit.

Authoritarians are bad for our health.. by means of killing our health care and social programs.. but you still don't wanna quit?

That's just a stupid viewpoint!

I want a healthy life where we can fix problems, not one where there's constant anger, depression and sacrifice of human lives to the second amendment!

The divide is not by state, it’s by urban/rural.

All this jibber jabber about the 1950s is irrelevant. What voters will be asking themselves is whether they are "better off now" than back in 2019. It's not about 2020 because you can't fairly compare anything to year 1 of a global pandemic. Even excluding MAGAts, a lot of voters are going to reach the wrong conclusions (i.e. Trump was good at the economy) and that is the challenge facing Joe Biden.

Sadly for many Americans, 2019's Big Mac Combo for $8 was a wonderful time and no amount of quoting macroeconomic data is going to convince them otherwise.
Because in 2019 Trump and every Republican and all the right wing media pumped up every single piece of economic data there was. But now for every bit of good data it's "well, there are still poor people, fuck Biden." Biden fucking cut child poverty in half, before Republicans ended that, but I guess that doesn't matter because it wasn't a 100% reduction.

But this thread shows why Republicans are always the default in America. It's impossible for Dems to build enthusiasm. This why under Obama in 2016 the economy was "shit" and under trump in Jan 2017 it was great.

Must be exhilarating to imagine living in Howard Beach, an enclave of the Confederate States of 'Murica, with 40-foot-high walls that prevent any migrants from entering.

Yep, delusions of grandeur.

But tell the genuius @manly and @Brainonska511 that the country that existed before is not the same in the post-Trump era and is not likely to go back.

Atleast I know these Trumpanzees aren't going to change even if their life depends on it.

Yes, this has been exactly my point the entire thread. It is BAD POLITICAL STRATEGY. If both democrats and republicans agree that the economy is terrible under democrats why would anyone vote for them?

Projection much?

You quite literally said you'd "happily" vote for DJT if he flipped on just two issues and you dare call others "Trumpanzees."

Feel free to report me to the mods if you want to earn yourself a vacation.

I repeat I will vote for anyone, ANYONE even Trump if he can pass universal single payer healthcare and lgbt equality protections! But I care about legislation that makes every American's lives better.

However I'm a realist and know Trump is NEVER going to make that legislation as he's focused on destroying our lives.

So who's got a total piece of shit?

Me who wants legislation that benefits every American's health or you who's using it as a punch line to basically bully someone online?

Edit: The funny thing is the European Finns have it figured out.. left and right they both care about universal healthcare. But I'm still a lefty as I want LGBT protections.. not Victor Orbanville.

Legislation like a decree to split the US by red/blue state lines and fuck up every American’s life in innumerable and insurmountable ways? It’s you

No. Most people are doing fine and can live how they want. No one would be doing fine under your shit poorly thought out plan. It’s a good thing you’re a crazy person on a forum rather than someone in charge of literally anything.

Not to mention he is unwittingly doing Putin's work; aiding and abetting the dividing of America.

Soon to be an accessory?

Dare we say useful idiot?

Unwittingly or not, he is heading down that road.
