Steam crashing in Win7 RC1

I just installed Win 7 RC1 (build 7100) x64 and when I try to download one of the games in my list, steam always crashes.

Anyone having this issue?

Steam is updated and I'm using Cats 9.4.

EDIT: Forgot to mention...I was running build 7000 before and everything was fine.

Well I'm running 7100 32-bit and Steam works just fine, TF2 as well.

Maybe the change from one OS build to another caused a problem? I don't know, just proposing. Perhaps try to delete your ClientRegistry.blob file and restart Steam and see what happens, it might help, if not I suggest to completely uninstall Steam itself, and then reinstall it.

Working fine here, RC1 x64, Cat 9.4's.

Food for thought: Try to defrag the HDD where steam is installed.

RC1 64bit here and Steam runs just fine, though I do have an nVidia card (8600gts) in my test box. I don't have a spare ATi card to try under win 7 yet.

Well it seems to be working now. I uninstalled 9.4, installed 9.3 and that didn't work. Then I uninstalled 9.3 then reinstalled 9.4 and now it's working. Funny thing is before I did that on a previous OS installation (which I had to redo), unistalling 9.4 and installing 9.3 fixed the problem. Lol I have no idea what the heck is going on.
