I think names like Kody and Kailee are worthy of ridicule as well. Equal opportunity.

I wasn't whining, and he didn't screw up. Instead of worrying about a comedian's routine, maybe people should be worrying about a lying beautiful being in the president's office. His words actually affect people's lives, and actually matter 2 seconds after he says them.

HOLY FUCK! A thread about a comedian somehow drifted to Obama by the tenth post. I think that's a record!

It's called perspective dumbass. You, and the other babies worried about shit that doesn't matter needs to get some...

Decent joke actually. I listen to a lot of comedy shows on XM and many comedians from various races tell racist jokes, often about other races, often about their own.

A lot of people just don't tolerate racist jokes, but good comedy knows that only by entering into the arena of being offensive do you stir up the really good jokes.

I know a non-Black person who might spell it the same way. That person is only 10, but its' spelling is shocking to me.

It isn't that we are sensitive so much as it is some people will jump at every opportunity to aggrandize themselves by jumping on anything perceived as politically incorrect.

Blacks in the US in general are too sensitive though, they have quite a few people telling them that they are victims, and as such they look for such victimization everywhere.

That could be it. I told the joke to my dad and he laughed. We're black, but don't live in the US.

This is what privileged white people believe.

Don't really get the African-American part unless he's just going for uneducated... Funny not found there.

It's a cultural reference to how "la" ends up at the beginning of a lot of feminine names, not a racial one.

You know what's strange? Just a few years ago there was a push for ebonics to become part of the education curriculum and now that someone publicly recognizes that African Americans spell and speak differently they are accuses of racism.

The biggest problem I see is the lack of consistency by the community.

i took it as either AAs pronounce it like 'lasonia' or he was trying to say they can't spell. your view adds another angle to it, yes.
