My nephews bike was stolen 2 days ago which is a bummer for us. Only mode of transportation at school. I have been checking craigslist and lo and behold one hour ago the bike is advertised for 60$. I wrote him an email.

If you can identify the bike, notify the PD also

I was watching a documentary on how to attempt to recover allegedly stolen property without the hassle of getting police involved.

I think it was produced by Orenthal J. Simpson.....check it out.

I walked to the guy's door, and told him to produce the bike his worthless kids stole. I got a working bike back, but it had been parted out, and wasn't the same as new. Close enough.

A few years ago I left my garage door open for a few minutes unattended, my beach cruiser got stolen, 2 weeks later I see a teen riding it about 1/4mi from home, I pulled a u-turn and flew up beside him and did a "street-repo" the 16-17yr old swore "someone gave it to me" as he pulled down the kick-stand, I started calling him a F-ing little scumbag and he got snotty, "you got your bike back STFU". I then proceeded to chase after him yelling "I'm gonna beat your punk ass!" I knew I had zero chance of catching the kid but it was loads of fun scaring the crap out of him.

I'm sure most kids probably wouldn't want to be on the business end of your cane.

I hope we can be this lucky. His friends are on standby now to help him recover the bike.

A 5 year old bike in grade school?

How does it even fit him?

How do you have all this time to research it?

Is this some vendetta against the guy that stole the bike?

I think your nephew saved his lunch money to pay someone to steal his bike.

My 10 year old hated losing his Mongoose BMX bike for a 6 year old. I bought him a full two weeks of clothes 6 months ago. Today I replaced all those clothes. A month ago I bought him a Pueblo 24" size from Dicks for $199. He will out grow it by next year.

I picked up his older brother a Response XE for $325.

I own a Specialized Rockhopper Pro SL.

Now I need to find a bike for my fiancée.

Wait....I don't understand if you are trying to prove you have money or not here. It looks like you think you are proving it but don't realize you are doing the exact opposite.

Years ago my dad has his small son's bike stolen. He was a white guy in a predominately black neighborhood. He was very angry about the bike and and drove around the neighborhood with his wife in his pickup truck looking for the bike.

He saw a little kid riding on a bike and said that the boy was riding his son's bike.

He stopped the truck, told the kid to get off the bike, and threw it into the truck.

Trouble is, it was a similar bike but it wasn't the same. My dad realized when he saw the tires as he was driving down the road. He was horrified.

Meanwhile, the people in the neighborhood claimed my dad grabbed the kid off the bike by his neck and threw him off the bike and stole it. There was almost a riot of about 30 people in front of his house and he was the only white guy and he was going to get his ass beat.

Luckily there was a big ass ex-con that he was friends with next door that somehow diffused the situation.

Lol, wtf. My dad is a real character.

When you say registered, like with a sticker, a description, or some engraved serial number?

BTW what is it that OJ is in jail for right now?

My bike was stolen off my back patio two years ago (townhouse community, no fence around my yard). The tires were flat since I hadn't ridden it in months. Took a walk around the neighborhood and found it two blocks over. Guess the punk kids didn't have a tire pump.

This must've been 30+ years ago when people weren't so protective of their precious children. Cause nowadays you would get your ass sued for even speaking in a scolding manner to someone else's spoiled child.

Disregard. He (fortunately) does not even have any children, legally or biologically.
