If I'm cruel for not giving a shit about their struggle then so be it. It sits within my skin comfortably. I guess it comes down to I don't consider them human or animal of which I have great empathy.

I am incapable of putting it in the same context as someone who can never have alcohol again or a drug or sugar or gluten or someone who can never be in the sun or they'll die. I do not feel compassion for them because I think that break in them removes them from the human race. I understand that often times they are created through horrendous acts and what I can be and am broken hearted about is that they endured such physical and psychological pain. That's where it stops. If they suffer from such monstrous urges they really should choose a permanent solution to end that suffering. If they indulge themselves even once in fantasizing about a child, that's not suffering. Children are not meant to be thought of in that way and that they can is tantamount to a willingness to abuse. True, thought police don't exist but they can police themselves and with excessive deadly force with the very first time they indulge the fantasy. Children are helpless, dependent, not fully formed/grown, little and entirely UNATTRACTIVE.Agreed. But what I am saying is that their desire comes from something that I would bet they wish they did not have, and, can do nothing about. They are born that way, or are abused and broken that way and have to live with that forever. Its not like its their fault that they have the desire. What is their fault is if they act on it, and that is unacceptable for sure. I just feel bad knowing that its a burden that they can do nothing about.
