Im pretty much resigned to the fact that Obama will be the next president, taxes will get jacked up, and the government will just continue to spend away on stupid crap. Np real solutions to anything, just more of the same crap.
I mean if he's all about "change", then why wasnt he doing anything as a senator the last few years?
Things going down the crapper is also "change", the hope comes when you hope the president after him will fix it.
And this is different than any other election we've had in the last 40 years?Originally posted by: Rhaze
IMO... the only way we really had a chance for 'change' and 'hope' was with Ron Paul. Everything else is stacking up to be varying degrees of crazy/failure.

Well, the simple answer to the questions in your OP is that I believe Obama will do it better than the "other guy". There really isn't much more to say or think about until I am convinced otherwise of that simple belief.

i have read his plan. he is going to increase the taxes on my investments so that i can not continue to pay for college on my own.
That's his old plan. His new one should be out soon.

FFS are you serious, Skoorb? Did you really think Obama got where he is without pandering for votes? Come on. You guys complaining about Obama and McCain would be complaining about a 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. This whining reminds me of 2000 and 2004. Wah. Neither of the candidates are perfect. Wah.
No candidate is going to get elected without making concessions. That's reality. Sorry.
No candidates policies/plans will satisfy 'all of the people all of the time'. There's a reason the popular vote falls around 50%.
No candidate is going to be able to fix everything - especially the mess we're in now. It took a while to get into it and it's going to take a while to get out.
Yes we are voting for the lesser of 2 evils and if it wasn't 2 it would be 3 or 4 or 5.
They're politicians. Duh. JFC people, vote for the candidate who you feel strongest about and stop bitching that 'Candidate A' isn't perfect. I'm an Obama supporter and there's *plenty* of things I don't like about him but there's plenty more I dislike about McCain.

i live in Michigan, home of the special tax on small business.. that's what happened here, why do you think it will be different anywhere else? and, yes, i do believe i am qualified to analyze my own economic position.
Michigan is one of the most mismanaged states in America. Even without an idiotic president, your state would still be running up debts and driving away business.

Mommy Mommy, I'm really pissed off at Obama.
But he hasn't even won the election yet my Son.
Ah Mom, why did you bring that up? Can't you see I'm full of tension and just want to have a tantrum.
Well of course my Son but you'll outgrow that when you emotionally get past two.
