IMO... the only way we really had a chance for 'change' and 'hope' was with Ron Paul. Everything else is stacking up to be varying degrees of crazy/failure.

Well, the simple answer to the questions in your OP is that I believe Obama will do it better than the "other guy". There really isn't much more to say or think about until I am convinced otherwise of that simple belief.

No candidate is going to get elected without making concessions. That's reality. Sorry.

No candidates policies/plans will satisfy 'all of the people all of the time'. There's a reason the popular vote falls around 50%.

No candidate is going to be able to fix everything - especially the mess we're in now. It took a while to get into it and it's going to take a while to get out.

Yes we are voting for the lesser of 2 evils and if it wasn't 2 it would be 3 or 4 or 5.

They're politicians. Duh. JFC people, vote for the candidate who you feel strongest about and stop bitching that 'Candidate A' isn't perfect. I'm an Obama supporter and there's *plenty* of things I don't like about him but there's plenty more I dislike about McCain.

Everyone knows there is no perfect candidate, but right now (as in 04 and 00), I'd bet you most people really feel there is no good choice, they are picking the one least likely to mess things up further. That's a sad state of affairs when we can't produce 3 or 4 quality candidates. Maybe we can outsource the job to India or China

Can you blame them? He's constantly changing his position on a number of issues. He doesn't seem to have a set political philosophy. How can one not question his integrity?
