strange motherboard

Well i have a ASUS P3V4-X, with a VIA Apollo133a chipset.

When you boot, you will see the PCI Device Listening.....
There are 3 things listed (in my list)...., videoadapter and 2 other things lett u know wich 1.
but there are in my PCI ==> a Videocard, a modem, soundcard, networkcard. But the last 3 are not in the list...

What is going wrong??? Is it a serious problem?

You mean in the IRQ list? Or that you see them earlier, in the same where your CD-ROM and HDD:s appear? Anyway, as long as the operating system detects your hardware there shouldn't be much to worry about, since they are not "invisible" in that case. If you install Linux, on the other hand, it might mean you have to go in the mobo BIOS and select IRQ:s "more manually" than you presently do: disable "PnP OS installed", and so on. The specific IRQ assignment method varies somewhat between different boards, so I can't help you much there.

well, everry thing works pretty well,

ive installed win98 se, evrything is detected by windows. That is not the problem.

lol I wondered this too.

What this means is that win98 sets the hardware for you. That is the irq. Sometimes this can cause a conflict expecially if you have a soundblaster card but I think until you start having problems that you just leave it alone for now.

BTW enjoy this board while you have it. When you upgrade you may wish for the ease of hardware installation, stability, and overclockability of this mobo again. I sure will...sigh.

well i think the bios is lazy DOH . I can see the irq setting in normal Windows, but the hardware isn't listed so maybe the bios doesn't recognise it.....
