My PC runs pretty much fine 95% of the time, however about once every hour it slows to a crawl for about 1 minute. It resembles an audio CD skipping when it does this, with games or DVDs going at about .5-1 frame per second. It doesn't seem to matter what is running, it just does it at a regular interval regar dless of what I'm doing. Does anyone know what could be causing this brief and predictably scheduled slowdown?
System:
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ CPU
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Mobo
Corsair XMS 1GB (2x512MB) DDR400 PC-3200 SDRAM
Seagate Barracuda 200GB 7,200RPM HDD
BFG Tech GeForce 7900GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI-E x16
Thanks.
