when i have done FADC i just tap MK + MP, i don't hold them at all.

you will know when you do the FADC because your guy will blink yellow (like an EX attack) and since the FADC is done so fast, you will virtually be 'unlocked' from the special move animation immediately.

You should also get used to the sound effects - those will indicate when you've done it right and you can get that extra hit in.

Okay cool thanks. So a real FADC is an EX then. Is there a way to get it out all the time or do you get it just by canceling after a special by pressing mp + mk?

Do focus attacks cost you anything, as in, the meters at the bottom of the screen? I know the meters at the bottom give you quadrants for EX attacks, supers, and ultimates (revenge stuff, too, but I've not learned it all yet), but do focus attacks cost anything? If not, can you basically use them all you want, disadvantages notwithstanding?

Focus attacks don't cost anything, but you can do EX focus attacks when you cancel from a special move into a focus attack. I think.

The super bar only builds up for EX attacks and supers.

The revenge bar fills up ultimates.

Nope, FA doesn't take up meter. Just be prepared to get punished if you leave one out in the open

I feel like I have to unlock the colors and all the characters.

After online play, I think I will enjoy challenge mode the most (the combo one), but I'll have to wait to do that until I unlock everything else/play online a lot.

I know Ryu/Ken and am more comfortable with them, but I feel like a sheep when using them, because they are the series staples. I'd like to use Chun Li more, but I'm not a fan of charge attacks and am not that great with them.

I played a bit with Sakura last night, and even though her special move set is similar to Ryu/Ken, she played a bit differently and I really liked her speed. Gonna try and unlock as many characters as I can tonight to try some more.

Once I buy/build a stick, I'll be more apt to learning Abel, Rufus, Fuerte, etc. I know the shoto players pretty well, but I've always like Blanka and Guile...Guile seems pretty low-tier this time around, but Blanka's decent.

Although, since I'm just on a pad for now, I might stick to shoto as I can't use the joysticks on the pad and the d-pad is already hurting the thumb. waaaah.

I added purbeast yesterday night. Man this game is a blast. I kinda like the arcade mode quite a bit. Sort of like the arcade but without having to see the people there.

Can I modify the HRAP3 to work with both the ps3/360? I saw purbeast hack his 20th anniversary stick to do something like this. Hmm...

Cool i still haven't opened my PS3 one yet, still havent had luck finding a CE yet and dont knwo if I will, but I probably wont hop on ps3 until this weekend unless I find a CE before.

This is driving me crazy... the stores are all telling me they probably won't get them out until 5ish PM if they even get them today. What the fuck is going on with the shipping of this thing? I've never had a problem getting any game at launch, ever.
