I pre-ordered from gamestop B&M as well and I was the only pre-order for the xbox 360. Was able to pick up my stick last Thursday. The most unbelievable thing was the fact that there were several people at the gamestop hovering around to see if they had any SE sticks not on reserved so they could be purchased. Unfortunately no extra SE sticks were available so all of those people left except one guy. I hung around while they unboxed my TE and lo and behold a SECOND TE was shipped with mine. The lucky dude that stayed was allowed to purchase the TE stick without having a pre-order.

Damnit Dangerer now I'm jealous. I still haven't received mine. Well I can't b too mad. I already have sticks I can use till/if it gets here and I got my 46in Panny Plasma last night just in time for Street Fighter!!! woot. Haha fricking big difference going from a 10 year old 27 inch crt.

Should I buy the arcade sticks? They are quite expensive, and upto this point I am not very comfortable with using them. I play pretty good using the D-pad. All the pros use arcade sticks though..

It's not like you can just go out and get one right now. They're backordered and sold out everywhere and will remain that way for a solid 3 months. They're pricey too so unless you know you want one it'll be wasted money.

That's because the TE's are shipped two in a box. If there's an odd-number of pre-orders, there will always be one that's available to the public.

My girlfriend knows about how hyped I am for Street Fiytah Fo and knew I was eagerly waiting for the release so on Valentines Day she made me THIS! Obviously you're wondering what the picture is, well we have a brown guinea pig named Chuckie and she likes Chun Li. I can't forget to tell you how she made the picture as well. My boo boo is not the most gifted when it comes to drawing things so she traced the Chun-Li pic by placing the paper OVER HER LCD MONITOR - she ran out of printer ink! The monitor is ok .

On the outside of the card was this. Oh but the best surprise was her hiding a brand new PS3 in my room; I was going to get one just for SF4. BEST VALENTINES DAY EVER and THANK YOU TO MY BOO!

GET HYPED YO!

EDIT: I should say that I did get her a dozen roses and stargazers hand bouquet then we went out to Sushi.

Very nice! I wish my GF was that tolerant of video games. Maybe she feels me being 32, means I shouldn't be playing video games. Screw that. Good choice on the flowers. Women love stargazers.

I'd like to know how it plays using the 360 controller? I don't feel like spending 200$ for joysticks just for one game.

I'd say playing on the 360 controller is probably like playing a competitive FPS shooter using an old school ball mouse on a on a rough edge surface. The game is without a doubt still playable and enjoyable (if you like the genre) but you will definitely know what is hindering you if your goal is to get better.

The Madcatz SE stick is $80 but it's reportedly having some out of box failure rate. If you're interested in a stick, I'd pick that one up from a local retailer with a return policy

Well technically, midnight is go-time anyway. So they only have 4-7 more hours to break street date (depending on your timezone, of course).

In some stores. BB told me they aren't authorized to sell till Wednesday. Target and Walmart said tuesday. The 7/11s I've called didn't even realize they sold games, then said they haven't gotten any new games yet.

I was expecting my copy to arrive yesterday but come 4PM--no dice. We had a dinner party and our guests began to show around 4:30PM-5:00PM and still nothing. The wine flowed heavily and around 10PM my wife had to go outside and into the garage for something and guess what was sitting in the doorstep?

I popped it in (PS3 version) and a everyone that was excited (even the non-gamers) because we all had memories from 15-16 years ago in the arcades. Everyone "oooooo'd" and "aaaaah'd" at the visuals. It's a pretty good looking game. Ultra-smooth. We played for probably 30 mintues--not very long at all--but had a lot of fun. It was funny to see the non-gamers play against each other because it was just a button-mashing-fest and eveyrone was laughing. Some of the fights came down to a sliver of health and people were up on their feet screaming "noooooo!". Everyone had so much fun.

Though I didnt have time to dig out the Hori and see how it works, the controls felt really tight and responsive on the SixAxis.

When the game first starts up and configures/creates your profile it will prompt you for an option to be challanged, via PSN/XBL, at any time--even while playing the SP game. I confirmed this option and immediately regreted it because 1 seconds into staritng the first match I was already in a waiting room to fight some guy on line. It was so fast and not apparent what was happening that it took me a few seconds to realize what was going on. Unless you're totally into the on-line challenge thing I would suggest setting this option (forget what Capcom is calling this) to "no".

I did notice that there were some lengthy load times before some of the levels and there was no installation for the game on the PS3. Perhaps there's an option to install somewhere in the game but nothing automatically happened. I dont understand why this wouldnt be an option. There is a HDD in my consoles--let me use it!

there is an option to install it on ps3, i believe it's like 2.25Gb or something, and it does just that, cuts down on load times.

was there any kind of mandatory update for the ps3? i'm hoping they get multi-person lobbies of some sort out asap.

i will be picking it up on ps3 later today at lunch (hopefully the gamestop gets them today) and possibly the strategy guide, if it goes into some detail on the character combos and moves.

Both target and walmart in my area has told me they won't have it today.
