According to Amazon, it won't be released until June 30th, 2009.

From the PC thread, that date could just be a placeholder. Apparently the release is Q2 2009. The last day of Q2 2009 is June 30th, so that's what Amazon is saying right now.

I'm hearing people say April 15 for PC. Not sure where they're getting it from.

picked up my ps3 one at lunch time just now w/the strategy guide.

i think i may keep my ps3 one sealed for a day or 2 to see if i can get a CE instead of the normal one.

My gamestop said they'll release tomorrow but the shipment is coming this afternoon so I can stop by when they get the shipment. I'm pre-ordering. I don't know if it's different for non pre-orders.

Videogames really need to start following the distribution method set forth by DVD's and music. I don't understand why the launch of games have to have this confusion and work trying to find out who has it. Games are hyped over a period of months, yet it's always a guessing game as to when your preferred store will get it.

Fourty minutes left for me, still trying to decide if I want to get it. The problem is that I'm not sure what system I want it for. Typically I always buy 360, but it seems like a lot of people are leaning PS3 on this title, and I don't want to be the odd one out .

so if i preordered i should be able to pick it up today, right? this happened last time with little big planet and resistance 2 - they wouldn't give it to me until the next they. they had it, but said policy wouldn't let them give it out til the next day. this is especially frustrating, knowing that the target in the same plaza will have the game in today, as they did with lbp and r2. i preorder for a reason - i want it the day it's supposed to be released not the day after.

people are leaning towards the ps3 cuz of the controller.

but most hardcore people will be using the hrap3 or sf4 tournament stick
i <3 my modified hrap3, it was impossible trying to pre order the sf4 official stick...

Probably because PS3 pad > 360 pad.

Like stag3, I have a modded HRAP3 that I like. I'm getting the PS3 version because my friends are also getting the PS3 version.

yea that would work, the only thing that sucks is there's no spectator option, i read it was just 1v1, so hopefully they implement some tournament function into it...

but yes we need an SF4 as well as SSF2HDremix ps3 friends list i think

I just came from a local gamestop to buy the game as well as looking for the madcatz (saturn lookalike) controllers; unfortunately, they didn't have the controller.

They did have the game on their display xbox machine. Surprisingly enough, the xbox directional pad is not bad at all. I know its bad in the xbox arcade sf2 hd remix.

The controls in this game are crisp! the most responsive out of all the fighting games i've played for the 360..that includes soul calibur 4, sf2 remix, DoA 4, Mortal kombat etc.

The graphics are cartoonie BUT they are very fluid. The special moves and combos are easily pulled off but everything is still based on timing.

One of the best games i've played in a while...i bought the game and i can't wait to get home to play.

Yeah I heard the 360 version of SFIV makes better use of the 360 dpad than HD remix did.

there is apparently some update already on live and psn, i'm hoping it allows for more than 2 people in a lobby.

Wow, in my first match, I can already tell pulling off moves is MUCH MUCH MUCH easier in SF4 than in SSF2THDR.

EDIT: I should say the above was written with the regular 360 controller in mind.

co worker just went to pick up his pre order @ gamestop, and they had 2 extra ps3 copies, he grabbed it for me
i have to go to the site he works at (20 min away) to pay him and grab it. haha ! i'm calling out sick tomorrow

I think I'm gonna get the 360 version despite the fact I have a PS3. The deciding factor was that I have 5000 MS points still on my XBL account so I'd rather not buy extra if I'm sleepy/stupid enough to buy DLC costumes (highly unlikely).

Or maybe I'll get the PS3 version... ARGH! Why is this so tough?!

I had to go get the reg edition cuz the GS I preordered at didn't get their shipment in and won't see it until tomorrow. I still want the CE so I guess I'll trade this in for it or resell it somewhere else.
