oh yea, how do you do an EX focus attack? it uses 2 EX bars instead of 1..
http://shoryuken.com/wiki/inde...Focus_.2F_Focus_Cancel
At the cost of 50% super meter, an EX Focus can be performed in the middle of any special/super cancelable normal/special attack. Because of necessary cancel into an EX Focus, EX Focus is commonly referred to as "Focus Cancelling".
I.. don't get it
It's the bold part that's tripping me up, too many /'s.. I'm not sure what it means or what it's supposed to do.
It's just listing all of the things you can cancel a focus attack from.
You're familiar with canceling a normal into a special move yes? (purbeast0 described it in the post above).
It's the same idea. You can:
-cancel a normal into a focus attack.
-cancel a special attack into a focus attack
-cancel an EX special attack into a focus attack.
All of those cost two bars.
When you cancel into a focus attack, you can:
-do the focus attack (release mp + mk right away)
-charge up and do the focus attack (depending on how long your opponent is stunned and your timing, this may or may not combo)
-dash without doing the focus attack
-do the focus attack and then dash
It opens up combo opportunities, though it's use varies per character.
For example, Ryu's bread and butter ultra combo consists of:
dragon punch -> focus attack dash cancel (FADC) -> ultra
That is, Ryu does the dragon punches, immediately does the EX focus cancel, dashes without doing the focus attack, and then does his ultra immediately after dashing. His ultra will hit the enemy while in the air.
