First question I ALWAYS ask is "what did this shitty kid do" prior to the video.

Without knowing that......everything that follows is worthless.

You know, people's education level has nothing to do with their intelligence. THAT'S what's wrong with America. Fucktards strut around like they're something special for going to school, when the reality is they've done exactly what my cat's done. They've been taught, and repeated what they've been taught. There's damned few real thinkers in the world. It's a minuscule percentage that prop up everyone else that do the grunt work, and odds are you aren't in that small percentage...

But hey, they were able to get a loan or their parents to pay for it!!!

Give them a break!

Ask. Tell. Make. That kid would be eating the carpet if I was the teacher.

The kid is a moron but there's no doubt you learn more from a passionate teacher. But you can't control that, some are just in the wrong career, some have been doing it for too long, some haven't been doing it for long enough. I think everyone will find a few good ones though.

In it, Bliss unloads on his instructor's teaching style — specifically critical of her passing out worksheets rather than creating lively and engaging discussions.

Talk about passing the buck. Having an engaged classroom is a burden shared equally between teacher and student. I did have teachers who regurgitated textbooks, but I also had teachers who tried to create discussions and get students to come out of their shells who were met with nothing but a wall of unraised hands and silence or even had it thrown back in their face as pointless and stupid.

100% right eh? What was he "right" about? Please, enlighten us all

Lets take this back to comparing other nations. Do you think other nations have "Extreme Passionate" teachers all around in every single classroom of every single school? Or do you think other cultures are simply trained better that you need to get your shit together and work for yourself instead of expecting others to always work for you?

He was 100% right that many kids don't learn by just handing out to them packets of info, and kids learn by engaging them and making the topics interesting, something that in his mind this teacher had no concern for. Personally, the best teachers I had did this. School was not a place I wanted to be but yet I wanted to be in their class and I still remember much of what they taught me.

And you suggest this rant is an "abomination" and why this country is "fvcked." That's beyond retarded. People like you is why it's fvcked. You're more interested in being appeased by how a high schooler says something than what he says and the issues he's bold enough to bring up.

You can't cookie-cut eduction from country to country. This isn't "other countries." It's not the culture of other countries, it's not the environment of other countries, it has it's own issues and has it's own challenges.

Just by your shallow references to other countries shows your ignorance towards education. Personally I think it's better to teach kids in a way they are excited to learn, so that they do learn, and not grow up to just blow smoke out of their @ss about subjects they don't have a clue about.

What's wrong with packets of info? Sometimes that can be helpful because it avoids having to write down tons of that same information, and instead, you can simply highlight the important bits or write down little notes. It's like how some professors in college may use PowerPoint slides, but they also hand out printed versions using the print format that includes lines beside each slide for notes.

He's probably just regurgitating what his single mother with two jobs and no parenting abilities tells him.

This is liberal america right here. This is going to erupt in a shit storm of liberal media as they question the school and teacher. Never once questioning the IQ or stupidity of the student. If you're too fucking stupid to read a worksheet or packet of paper, there is no fucking hope for you. It's a god damn classroom, not an orchestra dance play.

This is a mockery of our nation. I'm not saying this is to deem conservative values worthy by no means - but THIS in particular is just a blood splatter of what our liberal america is pissing all over. This is why we don't have second place. This is why EVERYONE gets a trophy. And this is why no one is a failure.

you are a failure of the species.

whats there to complain about? theyre just prepping kids for the corporate world. there is no improv there either. they want drones, so thats how they raise us.

I've worked corporate my entire career and you couldn't be more wrong.

Companies, especially large ones are in desperate needs of GOOD employees and want them, badly. Your average employee is an idiot, even in Fortune 500 companies.

This kid already failed himself. He's 18 in the 10th grade.
I don't think it makes sense to mindlessly lump him in with all the other dropouts that went back to school.

It's not like he dropped out because he was banging hos and smoking crack all day to care about his education.

He didn't get the point of the mindless bullshit he was fed at school. He finally worked it out and went back. I think that makes him far more of a winner than most people who just drone through life aimlessly.

lol i thought that too.

I am actually impressed with the kid. he fucked up, knows he fucked up and trying to improve his situation.

He's delusional. Probably of higher average intellect, but still delusional.

Low emotional IQ more then likely.

I will say though, there are some BORING ass teachers that need that treatment lol, so maybe he was the only one who stood up.
