I do have G-Sync enabled playing on a 3080, and the only one or two times I had noticed flickering was when launching a game for the first time. If I recall, during a dark menu, I can see some flickering, but it adjusted after a few moments where the flickering stopped. It was very brief and I haven't noticed it again.

However, in game, I can't recall seeing any flickering during dark scenes.
Does the flickering still happen with G-Sync enabled even if you cap the frame rate to a number that it won't drop lower? The number you choose would depend on the speed of your system. I prefer to cap my frame rates in games to a minimum that it will at least 99% of the time stay above. Would this flickering occur if I capped a game to 120 fps using the Nvidia Control Panel if I have G-Sync enabled on an OLED screen? I have an RTX 4090 with a Ryzen 7800X3D, so I could most likely cap most of my installed games to 120 fps with a 1440p resolution and it would most of the time stay above 120 fps most likely.

Ah, not sure. If I recall, the flickering only occurred twice and only upon first launching of the screen. For example, when I launched Elden Ring the first time on the OLED, the welcome screen had some flickering. However, on the second launch an beyond the flicking disappeared.

During in game play when combat and game actions occur, I've not noticed any flickering in dark areas yet.

If you watch the same channel with the same logo in the same spot you can get burn in on a TV...

If you watch the same channel with the same logo in the same spot all the time does it really matter if you get burn in? I'm sure some people hate to have their commercials ruined burn-in artifacts, but I think I could get over it.

I've noticed when I have a game's launcher open, specifically on Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate 3, that the screen flickers a bit after I've enabled HDR. When I get into either game, the flickering goes away though.
