Sufficient PSU

Hey, I'm currently looking to build a Q6600 system with either 2x2gb or 4x2gb pc2 8500 ram. Oh, and I plan on putting a single 8800GT in the system. As far as peripherals, I'm planning on 1-2 Sata HDs, a dvd burner (already have it), an audigy2, perhaps an additional nic, and an old wintv 150 tv capture card. Oh, and small stuff like mouse/etc, obviously. Anyways, I'm wondering, is this too much for my older Antec Neopower 480 watt? The only reason I wonder is because it has two +12V rails with one providing 18A and the other 15 (1A -12V).

Page with PSU Specs

Oh, and, any recommendations on motherboards for the Q6600?

Oh, and, it looks like (based on other threads) DDR2-800 would be fine for my setup (and cheaper).

I get this from the extreme site:

System Type: Single Processor
Motherboard: High End - Desktop
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 2400 MHz Kentsfield
CPU Utilization (TDP): 85% TDP

RAM: 4 Sticks DDR SDRAM
Video Card 1: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

SATA HDD: 2 HDDs

DVD-RW/DVD+RW Drive: 1 Drive

PCI Network Interface Card: Yes
Sound Blaster - All Models: Yes
PCI TV Tuner - Cable: Yes

USB: 2 Devices

Fans
Regular: 4 Fans 80mm;

Keyboard and mouse: Yes

System Load: 90 %

Capacitor Aging (+ W %): 35 %

Recommended Wattage: 465 Watts

Recommended Amperage:
+3.3V +5V +12V
10.1 A 23.3 A 26.3 A

Recommended UPS rating: 800 VA

... And this is with 35% capacitor aging, and the max devices / ram I expect to use...

... Still I'm worried about the 2 12v rails...whether they'll be able to combine sufficiently

Carful they don't like it when people copy the printout to public sources. But anyway.

I would recomend you get one of the Corsair PSUs. Any of them will do and all are well priced and top quality units.

What do you think for size? Maybe 550, so that I could add a bit more and it'll last a bit longer (with capacitor aging)?

The Corsair HX 520 will be plenty, for what you say it will be powering it. It's got roughly twice the power, where you need it (on the 12v rail), than your Antec. Even with derating and capacitor aging, it will power that system until you're ready to replace it, as long as you don't replace the 8800GT with SLI'd 8800 Ultra's.
