well i have absotle no Airconditioning in my room, and my temps are almost the same as yours alittle higher...so i would say fix your room temps first, then get some casefans and strategically place them

my temps are exactly the same. my ambient temp rose 10C. fortunately my load doesn't go much higher I'm also now putting my fan on 100% load now, as opposed to 25%/60%. The noise actually isn't that much louder.

If your cpu load temps are under 50C, and gpu temps under 70C, then it's perfectly normal, why does idle temps matter?

wouldn't a 20C jump bother you just a bit? also, I'm betting his current idle temps are close to his previous load temps.

What are you worried about? 45C is just the temp of a hot summer day in Phoenix (typical is about 42C). That's nothing for a CPU...

I had to downclock my X2 3800 from 2.5 GHz down to 2.36 GHz.

My CPU is always loaded about 100% because of the nature of the applications I am running on it. Used to have temps about 50 C under 100% load, now it went up to 53 C and system is only few hours stable. So I had to downclock it to 2.36 GHz. Temps are now about 51 C under 100% load, and the system appears to be stable. I am running it on stock cooling.

By the way, I have 2 more systems both are PD 820 . One is not heavy loaded, but another one is also 100% CPU loaded... Just checked... It is running 65 C CPU and 51 C ASUS P5LD2-VM mobo... Wow, I thought it will be throtttling around 72 C good news it is not throttling...

All my CPUs (X2 and PD's) are sitting on an OCZ's Ultra 5+ silver paste

Turn on the a/c?

Depends on how many computers in the house. I have to turn off my 805 and 820 systems when it gets too hot, as my 2 1/2 tom AC can;t keep up when they are on and it gets over 95f.

Chips do seem to jump in temps themselves. My processor is going 72' C instead of 65' C about a month ago. Try fixing the room temp, and if that doesn't work, fix your cooling method.

my cpu is fine, but my gpu is really hot especially with summer. idle its about 40C in the winter and 53C right now. I was benching yesterday and it got up to 105C. Might as well get a grill and make some burgers.
(its an X800XL btw)

I have the rig in my sig and another 2.8C @ 3.6GHz box going in my upstairs office.... It was around 95F today, and my small window unit does fine to keep it cool. Last summer, I was running SETI 24/7 on two boxes in the same room/same AC, and it was comfortable. I do have double-pane windows and good insulation which helps.

There is no way I am going to sweat like a whore in church......

Yeah, the summer heat is getting bad. My A64 winchester 2.45 cooled by an XP-90 hit 51 load today. Normally it maxes out at 38 under load. I'm hoping its at least partly due to me not having cleaned out my case in a while.

well between sumer and winter my temps range quite a lot

summer: 42C idle 48 - 52 full load (ambient 35C+)
winter: 32C idle 40 - 42 full load (ambient 15 - 20C?)

Thats on my dually at 2.7ghz.
This is in australia, and its much cooler now, and the fan i have is overkill at the moment, they also darn load at start due to the cooler temps, sound fine after they spin for a bit.

What kind of cooling varies that much on ambient temps? My Opty165 is sitting under a SI-120, with a 1200rpm fan, and it idles at ~34C, load ~44C, summer or winter all the same. My ambient temps in winter are about 65F, summer is about 80F.
