Bang4DaBuc, thanks for the deal. The Virgin Mega store on Sunset Bl. in Los Angeles had some XBOXs. I got the Xbox core, 2 games, an extra controller, memory stick for around $350 after discount. I think I will take the memory stick back though.

Its true!! Virgin has everything for 30 percent off with the AMEX blue card until Dec. 26. I just purchased WWF Smackdown for PS2 today. It came out to be 38 something with tax. I couldn't believe it also. I am going back there tomorrow in hopes of buying memory cards and extra controllers. AMEX blue ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

Virgin mega stores has everything for the Playstation 2, Xbox and Gamecube including controllers, memory cards and etc. They have virtually every music cd and every dvd. THey also carry some computer equitments such as cd-r's and pc games. Great deal for AMEX Blue card users.

This deal just got even sweeter for me. I just applied and was accepted for the blue card, and now I'll have an 11% apr and 2000 dollars in credit rather than the 16% apr 1500 credit I had. I also get 0 % apr for 6 months. Thanks!!

anybody know if Virgin sells the Playstation2 GT3 bundle?? i bought it a month ago with my AMEX Blue for retail price from CompUSA. What are they chances they will pricematch Virgin with the 30% off.

damnit, i just called up VMS and asked the guy there if they had the PS2/GT3 bundle and sure enough they did. then i asked if the 30% discount applied to it, then he said no...oh well, time to call up the AMEX best price thing

It is 30% off everything in the store except gift certificates and cafe items. I purchased 3 PS2s and a bunch of games.

The bizarre thing is that, despite all the signage about 30% off for Amex Blue and the fact that every cash register has a special amex chip reader and video display, that the 30% doesn't come off automatically, but rather the cashier uses a calculator and deducts 30% from the total after it is rung.

The hot deal is Dec. 26th, when you can combine the 30% off with the coupons. The coupons say that they cannot be combined with other coupons, but nothing about the Amex deal.

Given my spending today, I'm sitting here with 13 coupon books. December 26th is going to be a good day for me. I'm seeing lots of music, some new headphones, games, and maybe a Philips MP3 player.

Heheh...finally, the playstation 2 deal I was looking for. I need to get MGS2, Capcom vs. SNK2, and one other PS2 title. Possibly get another mem card to replace my sh*tty Interact mem card that requires you to boot from their CD to use the mem card.

Lucky for me, there are two Virgin Megastores near by: One at the Block in Orange and one in Costa Mesa (Triangle Square). The one in Costa Mesa would have most items in stock cuz not a lot of people know about it. Plus, the ppl that live there, they rarely check message boards like us cuz they're freakin' rich. Perfect!

I was driving back home when I heard a radio ad for this deal here in LA. I was listening for them to say "electronics," but instead they said "even game systems and CD players!" Wow. They know what they doing! So I guess AmEx is picking up a lot of the bill for this promotion -- Virgin's prices are usually pretty high and I don't think any store is crazy enough to lose that much on game systems, much less games! THANK YOU AMERICAN EXPRESS! I love my Blue.

I was at the Grapevine Mills store when they opened at 8:00 this morning. I bought [cough] several PS2's. They didn't have any XBox's. There were no other customers in the store during the time I was there.
