Interesting.
And what was Peyton looking at the ref with his hands in the air followed by fist pumping action after the flag was thrown? Are you kidding me? There was that one play 2 seasons ago where some guy tapped Peyton's helmet and he got a roughing the passer call...Just because you have tunnel vision doesn't mean it does not happen.
And what was Peyton looking at the ref with his hands in the air followed by fist pumping action after the flag was thrown?
Read and understand please.
What's the difference? Really? One guy is gawking at a ref expecting a roughing the passer call from an inadvertant glance (glance is a understatement here) followed by fist pumping; versus that call that one time that guy did, years ago... remember? And deep down everyone celebrates flags... ya.....What difference does it make? You know deep inside, any team that get the benefit from a foul celebrates. Peyton does it just as much as Brady does. He is always looking over at the ref waiting for a call. It's part of the game. So Brady celebrates, so what? It is no different when a receiver celebrates after getting a PI call or when a team celebrates after getting a rouging the kicker call.
Brady is now experiencing what Peyton Manning has almost his entire career — how hard it is to win a Super Bowl when the entire team is on your shoulders. At least Manning did it ONCE — Brady never has done it.

Interesting.
Interesting what. How many SB QBs have been able to go the whole field with one minute less in the game which what happened in both of those drives?
Peyton would have just thrown an INT.
I love how Eli and the Giants won the Super Bowl and this turned into a Peyton vs Brady discussion.
Amen.
Please read the commentary. "Mr. Clutch" has had 3 opportunities to win big games in the last minute and has failed miserably on each one (assuming the stats in the article are accurate).
EDIT: And the article even glosses over the fact that in the case of SB42, all that was needed was a FG to send it into OT.
Yep, right after he decided to give the other team a safety on his team's first offensive play of the game, I suppose? Speaking of INTs, shall we discuss the INT Brady threw to end the AFC Championship against the Colts which clinched the Colts winning after coming back from an 18 point deficit?
Does the article add how much time was left in the game on those final drives? SB42 - 35 seconds and SB46 - 57 seconds
Again, please tell me how many SB QBs have gone across the entire field in less than a minute in the game to score? Being the football expert, you should know the type of passes the QB would have to make with less than a minute knowing the defense knows exactly what you're trying to do.
Last SB drive that Peyton had that could tie/win the game, what happened? INT for TD. Losing record in the playoffs with more HOF players and NFL Defensive MVPs than Brady ever has had.
And if Reche Caldwell could have just held onto a ball thrown at the numbers, Manning would even have a SB ring.
fwiw - Brady was 20/24 in the game before Tuck sacked him and he reinjured his left shoulder. Then he went 7/17 afterwards.
well to be fair, Indy totally lucked out in beating the Pats in the AFC Championship that year. I was rooting for the Colts, but when it was all said and done, felt like the better team lost. Two words. Reche Caldwell.
