Patriots need to get a deep threat in the offseason.
What are you talking about...according to all of patriot nation, we have Gronk and Hernandez. We do not need a WR deep threat now! //sarcasm

Also, Giants have a good pass rush. They will hit you hard. The Pats pass rush is, "well, if I get there, I will just do what I need to do to kill the play".
What did Brady pick up off the turf??? His TAMPON??
Sad thing is I'm sure people will find a way to make this (inevitable) loss Brady's fault.
/not a pats fan
The last Giants TD could have only been a field goal if the Pats D had stiffened - they had to let the Giants get a TD so they could get the ball back. A FG would have meant the Giants win by 1. Then you go back to the safety which was ALL Brady's fault, and that's how you blame it on him.

How about after going up 17-9, Brady finished the game completing only 7 of 18 passes for 75 yards, 0 TDs and an interception? That's right, over the final 26 minutes of the game, Brady had a passer rating of 27.3.Really? You're going all the way back to the first play of the game and adding a lot of ifs/buts to find a way to blame the entire result on Brady? I love sports.
And the underthrown pass that was picked: he was about to get sacked so once again we really don't know if that drive would have stalled or not. As far as picks go, that one really wasn't that bad in terms of where it put the Giants.
To be honest the one play I do question Brady on was the one where the Giants had 12 men on the field in the last drive. Instead of just throwing the ball away he threw the hail mary that caused another 5 seconds or so to tick off the clock.

That was a tough game to watch at the end. Echoes of 2007 all over again - NYG trailing only by a few points. An amazing catch to put them in good field position. Ugh.
The Patriots should have won that game. The offense should have made it to 24 points on one of those drives. Our defense did just about all you could ask them to do.
This draft, Belichik better be concentrating on the D. We need at least one pass rusher, though I wouldn't complain if he took a DL and OLB for that. Then we need some DBs. Maybe go for a big WR if you can, but BB hasn't been very good in drafting those during his tenure.
LOL...there was a quote somewhere that someone on the Pats D could not believe Belichick ordered them to let them have the TD and that he "is there to do his job" and couldn't believe he was gonna let them have it or something close to that. Really? Are some of the defensive people on the Pats that lost?
Also, what's up with people saying they were favored to win? If you tallied up all the analysts, the majority was Giants winning. Heck, i am a NE fan, and I even thought the Giants had a better shot at winning.

The Giants picked up 100 yards after contact on offense in Super Bowl XLVI, something they did in three of their four playoff wins.
Gisele rips Pats receivers:

As New England turns is attention to the Red Sox, and fans in an online poll run about 70 percent either "depressed" or "angry," one fan's comments were hard to miss. The frustrations of another Super Bowl loss spilled over for Gisele Bundchen as she left the luxury suites of Lucas Oil Stadium. ... While making her way toward the elevator, Giants fans were harassing the supermodel, yelling that "Eli rules, Eli owns your husband." and she responded to her entourage. "You [need] to catch the ball when you're supposed to catch the ball. My husband cannot [expletive] throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time," she said in a video obtained by TheInsider.com. "I can't believe they dropped the ball so many times."
Aw, poor widdle Tommy.
I especially like the comment from one butthurt Pats fan implying that the Giants "owned" the refs. Bwahahahaha!
I didn't watch the game but the wife gave me the impression that she felt it was the other way around. Wasn't there an obvious pass interference call that was missed by the refs against the Patriots in the second half?
