She's strapped down tight and ready for a flogging!

Only about a week and a half to go to the airstrip drag event.

Hood vents functional? Decals? They better have paid you to put those decals on.

Aah. ok.

Personally, I prefer the sleeper look. No fun advertising the fact that you can blow past almost everyone else on the street.

An M5 is hardly a sleeper in and of itself. Anyone who has any business messing with an M5 (read: other enthusiasts) knows what a M5 is and will likely have 500+ HP themselves otherwise they wouldn't even try.

The only people who wouldn't know what a M5 is and think it's a sleeper would be those who couldn't hang with even a stock M5 in the first place.

It's like, do you get a Lamborghini in silver instead of red because you want a sleeper?

I suppose you could remove all the M5 trim and make it like like a 528 or something, that's the only way to really make it a sleeper. But then if it's fast enough, the tires alone will give it away to anyone who knows the slightest thing about fast cars.

Its a sleeper once you de-badge it.

Numbers are back.

Overall, I'm pretty happy. Again, this dyno shows about 380 RWHP or so on stock M5's and M6's. This is putting out roughly 200 more hp to the wheels.

Fantastic!!!!!. What do you think your 1/4 time is at this amount at the wheels?

No, it's the wife's car.

6.5 PSI, 91 octane pump.

I'm honestly not positive. Going to be going on a DynoDynamics dyno. As you probably already know, those tend to be on the very conservative side. The stock 500hp (to the crank) M5/M6 tend to show roughly 380hp to the wheels on it. For reference, on a Mustang dyno, you'll tend to see about 400-410hp or so to the wheels, and on a DynoJet, you'll see about 415-425hp stock.

My guess is it'll be about 180hp bump to the crank, so maybe mid 500's to the wheel on that dyno.

It looks like most M5, except for the slight lowering, wheels, exhaust, etc. Didn't go nuts on it. I like the stock shape.

SMG isn't too bad at these levels, so far. I guess we'll see as time goes on.

Bottom end was untouched, as is compression at 12.0:1. May need to make changes for the next stage up. I think that's still at least half a year off though.

Dude, scrape that M badge off there and go for the ultimate sleeper look!

Every poser 528 owner does that already. That's why it would be so cool to do it to this car. The exhaust would be kind of a dead giveaway though.

I am spectacularly bad at guestimating.

dam!! thats impressive. OP, do u have any mods in terms of weight reduction?

The only weight reduction comes from the exhaust (about 65 lbs lighter than stock) and headers (about another 10 lbs).

On the flip side, the supercharger, cooling system, etc probably added at least 30-40 lbs back in.

She also has a shotgun safe in the trunk, so that adds another 3-4 lbs (not including shotgun, of course).

I'd guestimate mid 11.5-11.7 @ 120s. Hauling ass for a 4 door "fur coat".

Definitely more at home on an airstrip than a 1/4 mile strip; high weight and low torque revvy motors suffer in 60 foot and trap speeds with short 1/8 and 1/4 mi runs but will wind out pretty awesome in a standing mile and highway rolls.

I'm starting to get jelly in these forums with the CTS-Vs and M5s... I have either a complete beater at one extreme or a complete untamed beast at the other extreme; need a plush rounded daily 4 door in between.

Yep, that's the one.

Might have to replace the plate now that she's sold her other car and this one is supercharged.

So what's the combination-locked shotgun rack for other than, obviously, a shotgun?

Aren't you a tad scared to open your trunk in public? Load groceries or retail bags? Risk of theft?

I conceal carry everywhere I go, but leaving a registered shotgun in your trunk 24/7 carries additional legal risks.
