I am discussing the topic of swap file operating with my friend, and he used the term pagefile. Realizing that pagefile is the file that windows xp uses when using swap file, I mentioned to him that the real correct term is "SWAP FILE".
I have been for many years using the term "swap file" because in different windows versions the hidden file changes, and to use the term pagefile is correct if speaking with windows xp, but truly the ultimate term is "swap file" ?
