hey you guys realize what this means dont you?

heat is a serious problem when approaching 3.4ghz even on default voltage!
i wonder how intel is gonna deal with that.
lower vcore i would assume?

Hard to say but it just might do it.

"By Thugsrook" maybe the panaflo 92mm fan will get me an even 180fsb

Yes it does seem heat is an issue. The temps seem to skyrocket when you hit around a certain FSB from what I been following.Even at default voltage they are a little higher than the earlier B0-C1 CPU's.

LOL ~ na no thx

id rather stay on air so the "avg joe" can follow along with me.
there are already plenty of ATOCC members posting info on water or phase change.
i believe Technonut has returned to air cooling? :Q (ill have to read his update as to why)

Hey, I just happened upon it myself. It's not like there were a whole lot of people saying" you need to use this HSF." I am glad I decided to look for a new one. It was not because the Alpha was a bad performer, but I had a semi-stripped screw from taking it on and off so much...

my swiftech with TMD fan gives me much better results than my alpha with YS-Tech adjustable ever did, and it's a lot quieter to boot.

You are getting 22 degrees above ambient at idle. That seems awfully high to me. Are you using Asus probe by chance or a hardware temp monitor?

thats normal for this board ~ every chip ive ever had in this board (9? 10?) runs at about that idle temp.
Asus PCprobe

Example: P4 2.26b stock speed and 1.5v vcore = 41*C / 32*C idle

wow, the Swiftech looks good.
Which Panaflo is it you're going to get? High or low power? Gotta love these, 2 92mm Panaflos high power for 1?... awesome

And what about this one?
Maker: DELTA
Model: FFB0912EHE
Size: 92 x 92 x 38 (mm)
Bearing: Dual Ball Bearing System
Voltage: 12V
Speed: 4800 rpm
Air Flow: 110.18 CFM
Noise Level: 55 dBA

Stock fan for the SLK-900-U according to Thermalrights homepage. THAT is a serious fan... allthough I'm pretty 100% sure I couldn't stand the noise

i will only use panaflo low speed fans.

im getting the 92mm low.

panaflos make zero motor noise ~ so whatever noise they do make is more like a pleasant breeze sound, not an annoying BUZZ.
youd be surprised how many of us in here run "quiet" or even "silent" systems :Q
