Today's episode was pretty slow. Not much happened. Mostly Naomi family drama. But man, with a new bigger TV watching this in 4k HDR, this is one pretty show. That made up for the slow episode, but they need to pick up the pace a bit.
Not to mention the space fight. Missiles and PDCs and railguns, oh, my!Naomi spacing herself wasn't enough for you?

It was a mindblowing moment, until she made it into another ship, so I think she'll be ok.

Thanks for that since I hadn't watched it yet.
Reminder: Spoiler-tags plz?
kthxby.
Somewhat related, had someone refer to me as 'boss man' yesterday, and he even threw in the accent. Really made my Wednesday.
Best part is I don't even know that guy.
I've been finding her irritating too so if she fell off the radar I'm good with that. Having a new crew on the Rosi is the lead up to Cas leaving the show for S6 since he got into trouble. On a side note I'm still hoping that Amos finds love with Peaches which would really calm him down.I kind of hope not. She's a whiny, "do what-the-fuck-I-want-even-if-it's-bad-for- everyone-else" c*nt. I've disliked her since season 1.
Besides, her demise might spur some action out of Holden and company.

My bad. I thought of the tags but since the cat was already out of the bag I half-assed it lol

Assuming Naomi survives thanks to hyper oxygenated blood, will that save her frozen eyes?
If an astronaut’s helmet was to accidentally come loose or come off completely in space, then obviously, this would be very bad news indeed. Remember that space is a vacuum, meaning that there are no particles floating around. When you are exposed to this, the air in your lungs has no choice but to be forced out through your mouth.
Not too long after, your breathing motions will seem fairly normal despite their being no air to breathe until you die of oxygen deprivation. Contrary to popular science fiction, you won’t freeze instantly and your eyeballs won’t explode but you will become aware of the spit on your tongue boiling away, as well as your sweat. On the whole, you’ll experience a kind of fizzy feeling – almost like drinking a carbonated drink.
Apparently, yes.
While space is, of course, very cold - there are very few particles to actually collide with your body and remove it's heat. So I still say no. They will, as that little quote mentions, dry out because of the decrease in pressure (the thin film of water would 'boil' off). So, as your rightly point out, over a short span of time, oxygen is probably the most pressing issue since it might be impossible to hold your breath with the pressure differential.Well, that mentions exploding eyeballs, which is not what I'm talking about. I'm referring to the effects of hyper delicate eye parts freezing. Freezing causes things to expand and rupture, and unless you're a specific Canadian frog, a beetle I can't recall, or a tardigrade, that freezing should produce irreparable damage to those delicate eye parts, especially all the tiny blood vessels involved.
I guess I'm hoping the show's creators aren't playing looser with science the farther we go. So far it's been much better than most sci fi series.
Edit: forgot the wooly bear worm/larvae. My sons wouldn't forgive me if I didn't do a shout out to their favorite hardcore survivor (big fans). Can you believe these little buggers can live in the Arctic?
They should of spaced Naomi in the first episode. I know they save a lot of money on the graphics end of production by getting into the Naomi poor me stuff, but it's boring and the other characters have so much to add to the series. Just blow up that whole story line for me please and let's get on with the story. They wasted 3 or 4 episodes so far with that crud this season.
To me the storyline is too flighty and then when it does stop to focus the content doesn't seem appropriate when compared to the previous character and world building. Production under syfy had better transitions, however, the content of the latter books is more complex which might be the reason for the shift we're seeing.Something just seems a bit off.
Minus the sarcasm this is about how the last two episodes went....they were so lame and forgettable.[sarcasm] I just watched (insert name of episode) and it was really (insert opinion about how you perceived the episode). I really liked (insert things you liked about it) but (insert things you didn't like about it). Overall I'm (insert opinion about show).[/sarcasm]
Well I got censured for making a quip that included the new episode name and someone got upset at me for it so I marked the next one as sarcasm just to be safe.Minus the sarcasm this is about how the last two episodes went....they were so lame and forgettable.
