SyFy's Continuum...anyone watching?

I've seen the first three episodes...it's...not terrible, but not great either.

Looks like another mediocre Canada-made show. (Flashpoint?)

Continuum is a Canadian science fiction series produced by Reunion Pictures Inc., Boy Meets Girl Film Company and GK-TV. The series centres on the conflict between a police officer and a group of rebels from the year 2077 who time-travel to Vancouver, BC in the year 2012. It premiered on Showcase on May 27, 2012. The first season consists of 10 episodes. On August 25, Showcase officially renewed Continuum for a second season of 13 episodes to premiere in April 2013.

It does get better. Its not Syfy's Continuum. Its a Canadian show that did everything it could to sell to another US network. Unfortunately many people still think Syfy is science fiction and other networks aren't yet ready to directly confront them.

It IS "SyFy's show" if only because it's on their network. They may not actually produce the show...many shows aren't actually made by the networks that show them...

iTunes had the pilot available for free, so I downloaded it. Haven't watched it yet, though.

The way I judge whose show it is by assigning it to the network that either commisioned the show, made the show or was the first network to run the show.

Therefore Showcase, the Canadian cable channel, can claim Continuum as "its" show.

Syfy shows repeats. Many months after they are shown on Showcase.

Downton Abbey is not a "PBS" show. Nor is Continuum a Syfy show.

If a Chinese station decided to run Seinfeld they couldn't say its their show.

btw try to stick with Continuum thru episode 5. There is more going on.

Pretty much only 'real' sci-fi live show left, so it is not like we have much choice nowadays. It is promising. And Syfy can't cancel it - as others have explained, it is not theirs.

I could never get into it. Its kinda interesting to see all these second banana sci-fi actors all in one show, but other than that its just a whole lot of meh.

In summary: It started off well, but over the course of the season the writing was somewhat hit and miss, and in truth Rachel Nichols' acting was a little rough sometimes. However, I'm still hopeful. It still has some room to grow and get over the growing pains, before it jumps the shark like Fringe has.

The season 1 finale kinda sucked though.

I would not consider this show a thinker show from the episodes they have shown so far here as it is more of a common action sci fi show unless it's slows down a lot later on.

Was ok in the beginning, last episode where the homeless man built a time machine out of tubes and tin-foil in this abandoned building was laughable. Kira felt for it too.
