Just yesterday my PC became extremly unstable and kept restarting itself without prior warning. The cause to this has so far illuded me, and I am finding it very puzzling considering it's been running fine the past 6 months. I am running a Windows XP Pro machine, with an 800MHz Athlon and Geforce 2 GTS. I initially thought that it might have been driver instablity, but after upgrading to the latest drivers for my geforce the problem was still persistent. It also seems to be quite unpredictable as to when it will restart itself, i.e. sometimes I can log into Windows then after a few minutes it will restart, other times it will almost get to the login screen then restart itself. This is really starting to annoy me as it also occurs when I try the system into safe mode. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions as to what it might be??
ps. I've checked the bios and according the system health status the CPU is only running at 20 C, perhaps not so much a matter of overheating as it would be underheating??
