System upgrade- worth it to wait?

I am planning to upgrade my system to P4 in the near future. Will probably go with RDRAM memory. I have read that soon Intel will support 533 fsb. Is it worth it to wait for this? I have also read about the Northwood core being SMT or hyper-thread capable ( I could be using the incorrect terminology here ) Will this be implemented any time soon?

Northwoods are already out, but watch out they will be changing their stucture soon! (i.e. Thier little Socket 423 mistake. )

what AkumaBao said.......and you know the old saying....there is always something bigger and better on the horizion ,in the upgrade decesion ....might as well go for it when you can....

With "something is better around the corner attitude" you will be in a state of perpetual waiting...Just upgarde when you can and do the research...try to future proof yourself as much as possible...

P4's in current state will at least run up to 2.6ghz in 400mhz fsb from what I have heard...likely even with 533mhz introduction intel will continue to use the 400mhz for awhile...It already shows in current ocing success it can ramp that high. Most people are being able to run the chip with as much as a 533mhz fsb in current northwood chips thorugh ocing the fsb on the mobo...
